Southern Railway Recruitment 2021: The Southern Railway has released an official notification for engagement as Apprentices for imparting training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 in the designated trades at various Divisions/Workshops/Units. The online application process for 3378 vacancies has started on the official website, the link for which is sr.indianrailways.gov.in.
Further, the last date to submit the application form for Southern Railway Apprentice 2021 is June 30.

Education qualification required:
Central Workshop, Golden Rock and Carriage Works, Perambur:
Fitter, Painter & Welder: Should have passed 10th Class (with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate marks) under 10, +2 System of education or its equivalent.
Medical Laboratory Technician (Radiology, Pathology, Cardiology): Should have passed 12th Class (with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate marks) under 10, +2 system of education with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Age limit as on date of notification (i.e 01.06.2021): The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should NOT have completed 22/ 24 years for Fresher’s /Ex-ITI, MLT respectively.
Signal & Telecommunication Workshop/Podanur:
Must have passed 10th class examination under 10 +2 system or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. For the calculation of the percentage of matriculation, the marks obtained by the candidates in all subjects will be reckoned and not on the basis of marks of any subject or group of subjects like best of five, etc.
Must have passed ITI Course in relevant trades from a recognized institution. For the calculation of the percentage of ITI marks, the average marks mentioned in consolidating statement of marks of all semesters of the trade applied/marks mentioned in the provisional National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT will only be reckoned.
