India Post GDS Recruitment 2021: India Post has released notification for engagement in the posts of Gramin Dak Sevaks. There are 1421 vacancies for the posts that are expected to be filled in this recruitment drive.
Important dates: The online application process has started from Monday, March 8, 2021 and will continue till April 7, 2021.
Posts to offer: The recruitment will take place for the following posts:
1) Branch Postmaster (BPM)
2) Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)
3) Dak Sevak
Pay: The following minimum TRCA shall be payable to the categories of GDS as mentioned in
Directorate Order No.17-31/2016-GDS dated 25.06.2018:
1) For BPM – Rs 12000 (Minimum TRCA for 4 hours/Level 1 in TRCA Slab) and Rs 14,500 (Minimum TRCA for 5 hours/Level 2 in TRCA slab)
2) ABPM/Dak Sevak – Rs 10000 (Minimum TRCA for 4 hours/Level 1 in TRCA Slab) and Rs 12000 (Minimum TRCA for 5 hours/Level 2 in TRCA slab)
Age limit: The minimum and maximum of age for the purpose of engagement to GDS posts will be 18 and 40 years respectively as on March 8, 2021, that is, the date of notification.
A relaxation of up to five years is applicable for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST categories while a relaxation of up to three years is applicable for the candidates belonging to the OBC categories.
Educational qualification: Interested candidates must have a Secondary School Examination pass certificate of 10th standard with passing marks in Mathematics, local language and English from a recognized board.
